Update 1/31/22: Ag Mechanics Arrival
As we continue to monitor the pending artic blasts arrival to San Angelo and throughout the state of Texas we are currently making the following adjustments to the Ag Mechanics Show. To accommodate exhibitors/clubs that wish to arrive ahead of the weather event- you will be allowed to unhook trailers with projects in the "carnival" lot in front of the 1st Community Credit Union Spur Arena. You may tarp your projects or whatever else you need to do there. We will not unload the projects until Thursday morning at 9:00 a.m. or slightly before if possible.

At this time we do not have any schedule changes to Ag Speaking, Robotics, Market Lamb and Market Goat EARLY arrival, or Wether Doe arrival. We will post if any changes are made to these events as the events get closer.

Market Lamb Validation List/TLBA requirement

Below you will find a PDF of the 2022 Market Lamb Validation List. Please remember that all Market Lambs exhibited at the San Angelo Stock Show are REQUIRED to have a valid Texas Lamb Breeders' Association tag in their ear, and that tag number must have been recorded on the animal's/exhibitor's validation paperwork. You can use this list, which is sorted by FFA chapter or county 4-H club to verify the lambs you plan to exhibit at the 2022 San Angelo Stock Show meet those requirements.

Please find your exhibitor's FFA chapter or county 4-H club, then their name, and verify there is a number in the TLBA column that matches the TLBA tag in the lamb's ear. IF THIS NUMBER IS NOT ON THE VALIDATION LIST, CONTACT YOUR ADVISOR IMMEDIATELY TO VERIFY IF THE PAPER COPIES THE COUNTY HAS ON FILE HAS THE NUMBER RECORDED OR NOT.

No market lambs, once arrived on grounds, are allowed to leave.

If your animal has lost its TLBA tag, but the number is on the list below, you may get a replacement TLBA or validation tag on arrival.

2022 Show Updates

*There will be no Texas Stars Wether Dam Show & Sale in 2022. The Texas Lamb Breeders' Association is hosting an event with a new name this fall- check their website for more information.

Junior Heifer Show: Limit 3 total head per exhibitor.

All Market Lambs and Wether Dams entered in the San Angelo Stock Show MUST have a valid TLBA (Texas Lamb Breeders' Association) tag in its ear and recorded on Texas Livestock Validation paperwork.

Below is an Excel spreadsheet provided by the Texas Sheep and Goat Validation office for exhibitors to verify their animals are eligible to show in San Angelo. Please carefully review the spreadsheet- organized first by county the animals were validated in (even if you are an FFA member, it is by county) and then last, first name of exhibitor.

If there is only a "/" in the TLBA field, the validation office does NOT have record of a TLBA number for that corresponding validation tag number, and therefore, that animal is INELIGIBLE to show in San Angelo.

The validation tag in the lambs ear will only contain the last 5 digits of the Validation Tag number listed on the spreadsheet. Additionally the first five digits ahead of the "/" in the validation number column is the tag number. TLBA tags vary in the number of digits.
