Job Title: Fairgrounds Manager

Position Summary:
The San Angelo Stock Show & Rodeo Association is seeking a highly organized, hands-on, and experienced Fairgrounds Manager to oversee the daily operations, maintenance, event coordination, and development of the San Angelo Fairgrounds. This role is responsible for ensuring that the facility is well-maintained, safe, and welcoming for a wide range of events, including the annual fair, exhibitions, festivals, and private rentals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all operations of the fairgrounds, including buildings, grounds, and equipment.
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate events at the fairgrounds.
- Oversee maintenance, repair, and cleaning of facilities and grounds.
- Supervise and manage seasonal and full-time staff, contractors, and volunteers.
- Develop and monitor budgets, prepare reports, and manage rental contracts.
- Work with local community groups, event promoters, and the public to facilitate facility use.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, zoning, and environmental regulations.
- Lead efforts to promote and market the fairgrounds as a year-round event venue.
- Coordinate logistics and infrastructure for the annual fair and other major events.
- Provide excellent customer service to event organizers and attendees.
Qualifications:
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Working knowledge of building systems, equipment, and grounds maintenance.
- Proficiency with budgeting, scheduling, and vendor relations.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
