The Double Mugging event will be held in conjunction with the Cinch Roping Fiesta Steer Roping event on Sunday, October 25, 2020 at the Outdoor Fiesta Roping Arena. The event will be one long go, with a six team short go. The fastest time on two head will determine the champions. The event will pay-out in the average only to the top four teams.
The target cattle are yearlings weighing between 450 and 550 pounds.
As a general rule 16 teams will be allowed to participate. PRCA tie down rules will apply with the exception that two loops are allowed. If the designated roper misses with his loop, the second team member (designated as the mugger) may attempt to rope the animal. In no event shall any one team member be allowed to rebuild and throw a second loop.
The contestant that roped the animal is required to tie the feet.
Entry fee is $500.00 per team. The contract and entry fee must be submitted on or before October 20, 2019. Please e-mail Brittni Kaczyk at firstname.lastname@example.org IMMEDIATELY with your intent to participate, and submit form and payment at a later date. The first 16 PAID teams will be entered.
Contestants may enter twice; once as a roper, and once as a mugger. Each entry must be made with a different contests; no "up and back" teams. No single contestant may rope or mug twice. There must be an honest roping attempt to catch the stock. There is a ONE minute time limit to each run. The decision of the judges shall be final.
PRCA dress code does apply.
The Roping Fiesta Committee reserves the right to amend or supplement these rules at any time.
