Mutton Bustin' Drawing!

In 2026, the San Angelo Rodeo will again hold a drawing for Mutton Bustin' participants. The drawing will be pre-recorded and then posted on the evening of February 19th to the San Angelo Stock Show and Rodeo Facebook, SASSRA website, YouTube/SASSRA and Sonora Bank Facebook page. If selected, winners will be notified via email & contestants will have until February 27th at 8 am to pay the $35 entry fee to confirm their spot in the rodeo performance they are drawn for. Failure to confirm by the posted time, will result in loss of that contestant's spot. Performance times will be assigned at the time of the drawing. We will start with the first performance and go straight down the list of time slots. There will be no trades. If a contestant is not able to compete at their appointed time slot, that spot will be filled from an alternate list.
Entry fees are non-refundable.


Rules:

  • Contestant must NOT weigh more than 50 pounds at time of their performance. Contestants will be weighed on site prior to competing
  • Contestants must be FOUR years old or older
  • Safety equipment will be provided by SASSRA
  • No ropes or any other equipment is allowed
  • Contestant must ride facing forward
  • Winner of each performance will receive a buckle from Sonora Bank
  • Check in time is one hour before the performance starts at the CRC Roofers Coliseum Box Office.

Mutton Bustin' Sign Up Form 2026

Fill out the form below with the Child's information. Each child will be assigned a number as entries are submitted. Entries are due February 18th by noon. Drawing will be pre-recorded and posted on www.sanangelorodeo.com the evening of February 19th. If your child's name is drawn, you will receive an invoice via email address on the submitted form, by the afternoon of February 20th. $35 Fee must be paid by 8 a.m. February 27, or your spot will go to the next name on the alternate list.
